The Virtuosi Hall, situated adjacent to Taichung Central Park, stands as a remarkable architectural achievement commissioned by Feng Chia University and designed by world-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. This striking structure embodies the concept of "negative architecture," seamlessly integrating with its natural surroundings while creating an interactive campus landscape.

Shang You Construction was brought into the project during the design phase to lend our expertise in spatial acoustics, sound systems, lighting, and rigging systems for the Birthday Hall. By leveraging the unique characteristics of the space, our team expanded the venue's potential beyond a traditional lecture hall to accommodate diverse arts and cultural events. Our innovative approach included the unique design of lighting battens specifically tailored to complement the architectural features. Additionally, we conducted intensive evaluations to optimize spatial materials in accordance with the design philosophy, significantly enhancing the versatility of the Birthday Hall.




As the Virtuosi Hall opens its doors and begins operations, the Shang You team conducted acoustic performance and sound clarity measurements in the Birthday Hall on March 4, 2025, to ensure optimal acoustic performance through final verification testing.
